Visitor and Contractor Access and Training Information

NOTICE: As of 4/8/2008, access to the Pantex Plant from the intersection of FM 2373 and Highway 60 will be completely blocked by a Texas DOT bridge construction project. Please consult the adjacent “Temporary Construction Alternate Routes” link for current guidance as to the best way to access the Plant until construction is completed in Fall of 2008. Also Note: Visitors and contractors must enter the Plant via the East Gate – the GREEN Route is recommended. You will be turned away if you approach the West Gate.

This page contains information about Pantex Plant training requirements. As a site visitor or contractor you must complete all plant requirements to obtain and retain your access.

The Visitor Training Matrix identifies the training requirements for general plant visits, meetings, etc. The Contractor Training Matrix identifies the training required for persons performing work/services at Pantex.

Additionally, visitors should be aware that the Pantex Plant is an industrial site. Visitors are expected to comply with the BWXT Pantex Footwear policy. The policy applies to all areas of the plant; therefore, please arrive wearing compliant footwear. Please review the B&W Pantex Footwear Policy.

If a radiation dosimeter will be needed during your visit to Pantex Plant and if you have been monitored for occupational radiation exposure during the current calendar year, then you must provide your current year-to-date doses before the dosimeter will be issued. The need for a dosimeter may be determined by contacting your Pantex Point of Contact (POC) or Subcontract Technical Representative (STR) in advance.

Pantex Point of Contact (POC) or Subcontract Technical Representative (STR) shall ensure the necessary training has been completed before access to Pantex is approved.

POCs and STRs: Contact the Visitor/Contractor Division Training Officer at
477-7890 or 477-3603 to ensure necessary training paperwork is in place to expedite Visitor/Contractor entry.
